Aaron Albert from comicbooks.about.com gave a top ten list of the greatest superheroes.
http://comicbooks.about.com/od/characters/tp/topsuperhero.htm
1. Superman
2. Spider-man
3. Batman
4. Wolverine
5.The Hulk
6. Wonder Woman
7. Green Lantern
8. Captain America
9. Spawn
10. Punisher
I do agree with this pole because Superman of course is the number one character. From his comic books, movies, and cartoons you should know who he is. You have to have a female on their because not all superheroes are men. For some reason everyone loves to love the anti-hero, and one of the most popular is Wolverine. Punisher is in the correct spot because the movie they came out with sucked. The only problem I have with this pole is the fact that he put Spawn in ninth! He should be at least fifth or smaller. I'll explain later why he is so cool. But other than that this pole is correct. Let me know what you guys think?

Blog: Are you a Super Hero?
Taysia007 from SoulCast.com wrote a cool blog about super heroes.
http://www.soulcast.com/post/show/88932/Are-you-a-Super-Hero%3F
"If you ever read comic books or played Role-Playing Games (RPG's) then you've probably thought about what type of Super Hero you wanted to be. Movies today are bringing back these classic icons from the past and creating whole new generations of people who are falling in love with them. For those of us who grew up comic book fans or such we are able to renew our childhood fantasies. I know I always wanted to be Jean Grey. I'm a fan for the mental powers-thing! So, tell me what Super Hero did you want to be (or still want to be)!"
I have always wondered about what type of superhero or super villain I would be. Of course I would be a good guy because that's just the way I am. I have to have flying because it's just the ultimate way to get around the city. In addition to flying, having super strength would be awesome. You can punch other villains and knock them out cold and you could pick up a car and then throw it. Now that's cool.
People who never read comic books still know the famous superheroes of today because of The Movies! Superhero movies that are coming out in todays world are so much better than they were in the past. It has a lot to do with the directors of todays time and the computer generated images. (CGI) If you watched Spider-man, you can see how the swinging was all CGI and Sam Raimi did a wonderful job. Superheroes will always be apart of the media and will be here for a few more years.

Why dont some have control?
Some superheroes have total control of who they are and what they can do with their powers. But there are a few who have no control what so ever, for example, The Incredible Hulk. Bruce Banner, who turns into The Hulk whenever he gets angry or has any emotional outbreaks, is the host to The Hulk. The Hulk has tremendous strength and has steel hard skin, in addition to having steel hard skin, his skin is also green and he stands at seven feet tall. The only problem is that Bruce cannot control him.
They are both in one body but come to life at different stages. Which one is real and which one is fake is not the issue here. It's rather or not Bruce turns into the Hulk and if he can control him or not. Some are blessed with great powers which they can control with all their might but some have the burden of having a monster in them. Bruce has learned to live with the Hulk and it seems like he is fine. With some meditation and will, he has come to turns with it.

In the Dark there is Good
In my last blog I spoke about Superman. He is all the good in the world, but lets talk about a anti-hero, The Batman. He is a superhero and has no powers what so ever but can still kick most other peoples asses. He uses his utility belt which can holster anything from baterangs to smoke bombs and many other gadgets. He has a cruel and humorless nature. He doesn't joke around and never takes any crap from anyone. He saves people but at the same time he is always angry and never wants to stop punishing evil. But why is he this way?
When Batman was a child he witnessed his parents murder. This can emotionally and mentally damage any child. Soon after this he started to change, he became more reclusive. In addition, he inherited all of his parents money. What really kicked off his Superhero career, was the incident in the bat cave. His mansion has a bat cave, and one day he went inside and as he was walking, a huge swarm of bats covered him and scared the bejesus out of him. He thought it was the most scariest event in his life, but after that he took the bat as a sign of fear. He inflicts fear into his opponents and then has the upper hand. These small events changed his life forever.
Just like any other superhero, Batman has an alter ego, Bruce Wayne. When Batman is pretending to be him, because I think Batman is his real personality, he is much kinder and speaks with a gentle voice. His goes to his job and lets no one have any clue who he really is. I think Batman is the real person because when he is home or when he loses his cool, he always speaks and his attitude is always like Batman.
Even though some superheroes have a dark exterior it doesn't mean that they don't have a good heart. Batman does scare and inflict pain into evil doers but he will never kill any of them. He is a good guy but has a few different approaches when it comes to saving lives.

Man of Steel
There are many superheroes who I can talk about, but Superman is one of the most widely known. From his comic books, cartoons, and his movies, there are not many people who don't know who he "is". He saves people from harm and never asks any questions or for anything. But who is superman? He goes by three main names: Superman, Clark Kent, and Kal El. Which is the real person? Kal El was given to him by his birth father but ever since he landed on earth he goes by Clark Kent. Clark Kent is a nerdy reporter who works for The Daily Planet. He comes off as weak and clumsy, but in the entire time Superman, the man under the suit, is doing all of this. Now for Superman. He seems to be the perfect being, never has any problems, and he always does the right thing. He adheres to a strict moral code and will never kill someone, but how can we know this?
Superman is one of the most powerful superheroes on planet earth. If he chose to, he could destroy everyone and everything in his path. But he doesn't, instead he devotes his time and effort to protect people he doesn't know. I think his adopted parents have a lot to do with this. They taught him all about hard work, accomplishing your goals, to protect, and most of all his family. If it was not for them we could have been seeing a whole different Superman.
Clark Kent is very different from Superman in so many ways. Clark Kent is one of the most weakest, irresponsible, and weirdest persons, at least that's what he wants us to believe. He has to make him self as different as he can because he cannot let anyone know his "secret" identity. If people found out Superman's other personality, they would all be asking for autographs, pictures and just plain old help. Even though he is one very powerful being, he cannot stop every crime from being committed. No one is perfect.
Superheroes come in different sizes and they are all different. Some have their fates set and some make their own future. There is not question that there are people on this planet who are good and will do anything to protect the innocent.

Welcome Everyone
I love Comic Books and the Superheroes who are in them. They save everyone's lives and don't ask for anything in return. But I can't help and wonder if the superheroes we depict are being real or being someone else for glory. Are they being themselves or are they being someone different because of their wrong doings? The problem is that we don't know if we can trust them. How do we know that they are not serial killers or people who have killed before and are trying to make amends. Lets have fun and talk about the superheroes that some look up to.
